6 Instagrammable Spots in Amsterdam

Let’s face it- we all want to look good in our travel photos. One of the best ways to look good in your photos is to utilize the backdrop of the place we’re visiting to plus up our photos. Great photos also help us capture what we experience and allow us to reminisce about our trip when we got home (I’m thinking of the TikTok sound: “Boyyy, we had a time last night!” No idea who to quote here, lol.) Good thing that Amsterdam has zero shortage of cool places to get the money shot. One strategy is to just walk around and snap pics of whatever you see, and get a selfie here and there - you’re bound to get some great shots. However, when I travel, I like to have a few key places in mind where I’d like to take photos so that they are both cute and represent the experience that I’ve had.

Here are 6 spots you can get a super dope instagram (or any social, for that matter) photo on your next trip to Amsterdam.

  1. The canal houses in Damrak

Or anywhere in Damrak for that matter. Look how narrow and cute! This is quintessential Amsterdam.

2. The 9 Streets district

This picturesque canal district is a must-see. Tip: don’t miss the bridge views over Prinsengracht canal.

3. The Rijksmuseum

I mean, look at it. The details are giving heart eyes. If you’re going there already, make time for photos. Bonus: their library is breathtaking as well.

4. Staalmeestersbrug

You can get a nice view of the Zuiderkerk across the canal from the bridge.

5. Zevenlandedhuizen

The “seven country houses” (near Vondelpark) are 7 row homes in the typical architecture in the country they represent.

6. Bloemenmarkt

This is the world’s only floating flower market where you can see different varieties of flowers, including the Dutch tulips when they are in bloom.

Which of these would you go see?
